Hey Moth Maniacs,

In case you haven’t heard, The Day of Darkness was a huge success! Dark Worlds: Project 31 made it to the #6 spot on Amazon’s Hot New Releases in Horror and made it to the #42 spot on the overall horror best-seller list! (That’s out of over 21,000 titles!)

The Day of Darkness

As you may have heard, my novel Dark Worlds: Project 31 is set to launch on Tuesday, March 31st. It’s on this “Day of Darkness” that I’m encouraging fans that are interested in buying a copy to do so on that date from Amazon.com. The goal being that this will cause such a concentrated wave of darkness (also known as sales) that it will catapult Project 31 to the #1 spot on Amazon’s horror fiction charts!

October Update

Those of you that listen to my various podcasts (found at Mothpod.Com) may have heard that I took a break from podcasting for the month of September. The reason I did this was because Project 31 needed my full attention if it was ever going to be finished. So the plan was simple; work on nothing but Project 31 for an entire month and have the first draft done by October. Well, it’s now October 1st, and I have emerged from my from my fortress of solitude… with the first draft of The Dark Worlds Trilogy – Book 1: Project 31 complete!

With 19 chapters, and a rough page count of 299, this horrific baby of mine is a labor of love. I’ve always wanted to write a novel, and I’m proud to say that I scratched that goal off last night. Now on to the next goal, writing an epic horror trilogy. I’m hoping that’s what I accomplish with Dark Worlds.

Now down to the logistics. You may have noticed that I refered to this as the first draft of Project 31. The reason for that is because I plan on going back and revising each chapter from now till the end of the year. This won’t change the actual story, but will help with stylizing how the story is told. Once the second draft is finished, I’ll began recording the free audio novel version for release in the spring of 09. Now I know that some of you were excepting the audio version to launch on Halloween of this year, but I want to make sure that the second draft is complete before I start podcasting Project 31. That said, I would like to do some sort of trick-or-treat this Halloween, so we shall see…

Ok, well that about does it from me. Back to work on world domination… I mean the book. No rest for the wicked.
