Brookville ‘Great Mistake’. A3 Music TV. After releasing two albums under the Brookville moniker, musician and producer Andy Chase didnt think he had another in him. Whatever it was that had inspired those albums seemed to have disappeared, and Chase, who also plays in Ivy, assumed, for a while, that his tenure as Brookville was complete. After the release of Nothing In the Shade and a North American tour with French pop act Tahiti 80, Chase fell into a depression. He holed up in his New York apartment and struggled to find a way of coping with this severe emotional low. The solution turned out to be songwriting.
