“Since she was a child, Trina showed an interest in music. Her mother recalls hearing her sing along to various songs or movies all the time.”
Zack Daggy: Where are you from? How does living there affect your songwriting?
Trina Elle: I’m so proud to say that I’m from beautiful Montreal, Canada! How it affects my writing… I think being in such a diverse culture I’m exposed to and open to write about just about anything. So many different people i see, things i experience…everything around me has sculpted me somehow as a person, therefor shines through my songs and my writing.
ZD: How would you describe your style?
TE: To be honest, I don’t know. Haha. I noticed all my songs have their own little character, but I’d say a mix of pop and R&B i guess, with a mix of my soulful sounding voice.
ZD: Who do people say you sound like?
TE: I haven’t gotten many of those. A few times i did get Colbie Callait.
ZD: What was the first album you ever bought?
TE: If i remember correctly, it was one of Whintey Houstons albums. I was in love with her…. I still think she’s fabulous!
ZD: What is your favorite part about having a career in the music industry?
TE: I’m the type of person who likes to give. I live off people’s happy or excited reactions when i do for them. So i’d have to say just people enjoying and connecting with my music. Whether it strikes a smile or a tear, I’m glad they feel ‘My Reality’.
ZD: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
TE: Well, I’m an outdoorsy type girl! I enjoy fishing, gardening, and all that jazz!…. and of coarse training hard!
ZD: If you could have any of your songs featured on any television show, which song and on which show?
TE: I had to give this one some thought. It never really crossed my mind! I’d have to say I could see my song ‘People’ fitting on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
ZD: Who would you most like to sing a duet with and why?
TE: I reaaaally like Akon! The vibe of his beats, his unique voice, i can never stand still when i hear his music. So yeah, that would be really cool!
ZD: If you could perform anywhere or at any event, where would it be?
TE: Off the top of my head, lets see….. hmm. Ok NYC on new years eve! How crazy is that!!!!
ZD: What single word best describes you?
TE: (very) Dynamic!
